Dog Boarding FAQs
Your dog must have a current C5 vaccination certificate for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. As per NSW DPI Animal Welfare Code of Practice No. 5 (Dogs and cats in animal boarding establishments), section 6.1.1: vaccination against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and canine cough is required, and a current vaccination certificate (vaccination in the preceding 12 months) must be produced before admission. No refunds or credits are given if these are not up to date by booking time. Checking for heartworm infection is recommended before admission.
Every dog is allocated its own kennel. For dogs from the same family, we place them side by side unless the owner specifies they want the dogs to be together. Our kennels are designed in such a way that several walls move thereby turning two kennels into one. We do not and will not house dogs belonging to different owners together.
Yes. Only dogs from the same family share a kennel, and we separate dogs at mealtimes, including family dogs, as food is a common trigger for scuffles.
We’re lucky to have nine spacious outdoor exercise yards as well as a huge indoor arena. Fresh air and plenty of movement are at the heart of our philosophy — we believe dogs thrive when they’ve had the chance to stretch their legs, play, and explore. That’s why every dog in our care enjoys two exercise sessions a day, giving them the stimulation they need to feel happy and relaxed. By the time they come back inside, most are ready to curl up and snooze, content after a good run around.
When your dog comes to stay with us, we take the time to learn about their personality and social history right from the start. Once on site, our team gently assesses and keeps a close eye on them to ensure any playtime is safe and positive. Social sessions only happen when we’re confident your dog will truly enjoy the experience. And with nine large exercise yards, every guest still gets plenty of individual time outdoors to stretch, play, and explore.
Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. During storms, rain, or at night, all pets are brought securely indoors, where they can settle without worry. Our complex is double-insulated to keep things quiet and cozy, with calming music and TV helping create a soothing environment. Our team keeps a close eye on behaviour at all times, and if needed, we can administer any vet-prescribed medications provided by you, exactly as directed.
We understand that some dogs can be prone to weight gain, and we take that very seriously. When your dog arrives, we record their individual feeding plan and make sure they’re fed separately to avoid any mix-ups. Our team monitors each meal closely, keeping track of how much they eat, and we’ll adjust portions if needed so your dog stays healthy, happy, and comfortable during their stay.
We don’t offer discounts for multiple dogs, as our spaces are limited and every guest receives the same high level of care and attention, no matter their size or age. Our pricing is kept simple and consistent so you can be confident each of your dogs is getting the very best care. From time to time, we do run special seasonal promotions — so be sure to keep an eye on your email inbox for these offers.
Yes — with certification from your vet confirming your dog is well enough to board, we’re happy to welcome them. An additional fee applies for incontinence care, as it requires extra attention from our team. We regularly care for older and more fragile dogs, and we take great pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved during their stay.
For your dog’s safety, all medications must be prescribed by a vet and clearly labelled with their name and dosage instructions. Our trained team can administer medication during their stay, with a fee starting at $6.50 per administration. If medication is required outside our standard hours, an additional charge will apply.
Yes — we’re experienced in caring for dogs with a variety of special needs, including those who are blind or deaf. For example, blind dogs are gently leash-walked to help them learn the layout of their yard and kennel, while deaf dogs are guided with clear hand signals. No matter the need, we make sure every dog receives plenty of personal attention through names, pats, treats, and gentle handling, so they always feel safe, loved, and included.
